Waiting for a Hero

pretty_and_prettierNico and her younger brother West peered outside the window of their hideout, brown eyes gazing out at the Malcolm Crew thugs roaming the streets of Crash Town. Ever since their father Jordan was taken to the mines, Nico did her best to take care of the household chores and being there for West.
The bushy-haired girl had lost track of how long it had been since their father was taken away. Every day, before the sunset duels, Nico prayed to the heavens that a hero would come along and bring an end to the chaos plaguing Crash Town. That the hero would put a stop to Malcolm's Crew once and for all and bring her father home. But perhaps those stories only existed in fairy tales.
